It is amazing if we can see the development of baby in mother's uterus for 9 months. And did you know that through simulation we can visual it. Very interesting, right? Simulation is the exploration of existing models (Bliss
et al., 1992). Simulation through ICT enables students to interact, reflect and develop their knowlege and understanding. With simulation, difficult or complex science concept and dangerous or costly experiments can be shown to the students. Students will understand better and learning process become interactive.
Otherwise, modelling is the expression of one's ideas by constructing one's own models (Bliss et al. 1992). For example, through modelling we can see a three-dimensional diagram of a water molecule. Modelling through ICT enables students to know the effects of changing data or value and its relationships. Hence, modelling helps students to understand the phenomena involved.
Modelling and simulation can be used as teaching and learning tools as they show a difficult and abstract concept that cannot be seen in a real situation.
